What is a network fee?

Network fees, also called gas fees, are small amounts of crypto paid to the blockchain network to process and confirm your transaction. These fees go to the validators or miners who help keep the network secure and running smoothly.

The fee amount to be paid depends on:

  • The network you're using (e.g., Base, Ethereum)
  • How busy the network is at the time
  • The type of transaction (e.g., swap, send, mint)

These fees are not charged by the wallet, but by the network itself.
